Investigative Exercise 7 Podcats

Podcasting is a way of automatically downloading audio or video files to your computer. You can then play this audio or video file. 'Podcast' generally refers to audio files whilst 'Video Podcast' (or 'Vodcast') refers to the distribution of video files in the same manner.

Find a podcast in any Australian library. Post to your blog a short summary of the podcast. Include the library’s name, title of podcast and link. Make certain you label your post.

  1. Hey I found a podcast service to be quite advantageous for libraries and clients alike it can be used to make information and information of the collection more accessible to clients and easy to absorb as clients could listen to the information while commuting. It also makes promotion easier.

  2. Hi Poppy,

    Thank you for this pose.
I think using podcast service in libraries is a good idea. Clients will know the promotion about the library’s services and programs via playing audio or video files. It is easy to absorb as clients could listen to the information while commuting. Another good point podcasting also enable Librarians to share information with anyone at any time anywhere.
