FIRST POST

Student must posts at least once on any area of interest, including labels and one picture.

THESE POSTS ARE NOT ASSESSED.

Follow these instructions to add a picture. 

Firstly select your image. If it’s somewhere else on the web right click and see if the image can be “saved as”.  Some images are locked and are therefore not available for you to use. If it is available, save it somewhere where you can find it again easily. For example  save it on your desktop or on your usb stick. Make certain it is labelled so that you can find it again.  At the top of your post you will see a small images icon. Click on this, then use the “browse” function to find the image you just saved.  Click upload.  You will be given a few choices about location and size of your image.  Always choose save when you have finished.

LAST POST – COMPLETING YOUR ASSESSMENT

Have you posted on your blog for each exercise? 
Have you labelled each of your posts, inserted at least one image into one of your blog posts, uploaded audio and/or embedded a video, changed the colour of some part of your blog, changed the arrangement of your blog, invited 3 of your classmates to be authors on your blog, made comments on at least 2 of your classmates blogs, made a comment on one of your teachers posts on their blog?
Send an e-mail to your teacher at [insert your e-mail address] telling them you have completed your assessment.  This assessment can be completed at any time after Week 12 but the last date is [insert your last date]
Keep your blog until you receive your assessment mark from TAFE. Then you can keep your blog as an example of your work OR you can keep your blog and make use of it.  You can also rename it (If you decide on this option delete your teacher as an author, and adjust other permissions and comments areas) OR delete your blog.

Blog Exercise 16– comment on your teachers blog

Your teacher will have made some posts on their blog about current awareness/trends/issues.  Choose one post. Make a comment on your teachers post (at least 1 paragraph long) discussing the issue or why you agree/disagree. Use blog etiquette when posting, sign your comments with your name. Write a post on your blog to say that you have done this.

Blog Exercise 15– commenting on other blogs

Take a look at 2 of your classmates blogs – make a comment on at least 2 of their posts.  Use blog etiquette when posting.  Take a look at this site for tips on blog etiquette.  http://blogs.suite101.com/article.cfm/blogging_etiquette
Sign your comments with your name.
Write a post on your blog to say that you have done this - what you said and the names of the people who created the blogs you wrote on.

Blog Exercise 14– inviting people to be authors on your blog

Invite at least 3 of your classmates to be authors on your blog. Under the SETTINGS tab click on ADD AUTHORS – type in their gmail addresses.  They will receive an e-mail on their gmail inviting them to your blog.
Write in your blog who you have invited.

Blog Exercise 13– changing the arrangement of your blog

You can change the arrangement of your blog easily too. The arrangement of the blog elements can be changed under the Design tab.  Then choose Page elements. This allows you to click and drag to rearrange elements. For example you can make your blog posts section move to the right or left sides of your blog. When you have changed the layout write a blog post about the new arrangement.

You may have already made these kinds of changes to your blog.....
once you have made them  briefly describe what you have done.

Blog Exercise 12– changing the colour of your blog

The colours on your blog can be changed. Select blogger template designer under the Design tab
Then select Advanced on the left side. You can then change the colours of individual parts of your blog. Change the colour of part of your blog and then write a post about the new colour(s).
